Need Food for Children
$10.00 of $8,500.00Learn moreWe are creating a self-sustaining food source for the children and their families. Your donation will buy seeds, plants, chickens, goats, and provide daily nutrition for the children, many of whom are too hungry to attend school. Approximately 40% of the children we serve are orphaned and have no support or care besides that provided by Serve the Need. The children at Suwinga Primary School and Ngunya Primary School districts are in desperate need and will be our first priority.

Monthly Personal Items Needed
$50.00 of $3,480.00Learn moreHundreds of children at Suwinga Primary School and Ngunya primary school lack basic personal items such as underwear toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap. Also, over 600 girls lack feminine sanitary supplies. This is a monthly, on-going project to supply personal items. Approximately 40% of the children are orphaned and have no support or care besides the care provided by Serve the Need.

Need Children Shoes
$51.00 of $3,690.00Learn moreThere are 900 children in need of shoes. The success of the Suwinga primary school uniform project last year raised the funds to provide school clothes to these children which are required for them to attend school. The children are also in need of shoes. A minimum goal of $3,690 will provide modest footwear, if $10,107 is raised, the children will receive leather shoes for school ($11.23 per pair).

Public School Tuition Per Student
$175.00 of $600.00Learn moreSponsor one child for a year of school. There are over 400 children in need of K-12 education tuition support. Unlike many countries, public school is not free in Kenya. Between the school admittance fee of $500.00 and uniforms / books of approximately $100.00, the cost per child is $600.00 per year. The ability to go to school is an honor for these children. School will change their lives and their families. An education gives them the opportunity to learn to read, write, and later earn an income that will enable them to work to support themselves and their families.
